Our recipe of the week courtesy of Butch and Chris Worthington THANK YOU Butch and Chris!!

Pecan Rolo Pretzels

1 Bag Rolo Candy (10.6 oz. has 50 pieces) 50 Waffle Pretzels

50 Pecan Halves

Preheat oven to 250 degrees.

On a baking sheet, place square waffle pretzels evenly apart.

Unwrap Rolo Candy and place one candy on each pretzel.

Put filled cookie sheet in oven and bake for 4 minutes.

Remove from oven and immediately place a pecan half on top of soft, melted rolo candy and press slightly until candy covers pretzel.

Cool completely and store in air-tight container.

Optional: Sprinkle with powder sugar when cooled. (Our kids called these “Snowshoes” because that’s what they reminded them of after sprinkled with the powder sugar!!!)

“SWEET & GOOD!”

Enjoy! … Chris & Butch Worthington

CABIN CHOICES:

The deposit is $125.00 per person until 6/30/19 after that it will be 250.00 per person, however Carnival always has special offers along the way and I’m sure you receive all the email I receive with special offers.

Carnival Radiance is slightly larger than the Miracle. Guest Capacity is 2984 with a crew of 1108. The ship will be completely remodeled and this will be its maiden voyage.

Transportation can be arranged through Carnival or through group airline reservations and does not need to be done before next year. Manny suggests looking at air fare about 10 months out from the cruise. I know some probably have miles or companion fares so we can talk about these arrangements come January of next year. We have plenty of time to make our travel reservations to New York City. Some may want to spend a night or two in New York City. So we may want to look at Hotel Prices.

The airlines that Carnival uses are Delta, American and United. They also have a shuttle service to and from the airport to the Cruise Ship. The cost for the shuttle would be around $63.00 – $67.00 per person for round trip depending on the airport you choose. I did some checking today with Delta and a price per person with round trip non stop to LaGuardia & JFK are $250.00 – $350.00. Instead of taking the LONG bus ride to Tampa we get to fly to New York in about 3 hours non stop.

Our final payment will not be until June 23, 2020 so we have lots of time to save up!

The port address in New York City is 711-12th, New York, New York. So we will be cruising down the Hudson River past the Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island. So if planning to stay the night in New York, Time Square would be a great place to stay and is walking distance to Rockefeller Center. Won’t be cheap so save your $$. I found the one we stayed in years ago in Times Square, Hampton Inn Manhattan for $227.00 a night without tax. Free breakfast, high speed internet, free coffee and tea all day. Great location!

We are looking forward to another wonderful cruise together.
